Meet The Team
Joe Alessi

Born in Rome with proud Sicilian roots, food and wine have always been at the heart of my story. After spending eight years running a restaurant, we launched Frankies Pantry & Cellar to share the flavours I grew up with—and still love. Whether it’s the perfect bottle of wine or an ingredient that transforms a dish, I’m always on the hunt for something special.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me chasing after my three kids or on the soccer pitch—coaching, playing, and occasionally pretending I’ve still got the legs for it.
Favourite Food & Wine - My all-time favourites? A glass of Villa San Carlo Valpolicella Ripasso and a big slice of homemade lasagne—comfort food at its finest.

Born in Sicily and raised on a love of good food, wine, and family, Frankie’s Pantry & Cellar is a perfect match. I work closely with our customers and retail partners, making sure everyone gets the care and attention they deserve—just like family.
When I’m not out and about talking all things food and wine, I’m at out and about exploring with my teenage daughter.
Favourite Food & Wine - I’ve got a soft spot for bold reds—especially Tenuta Cavalier Pepe’s Terra del Varo Aglianico — and absolutely anything with pistachio (it’s the Sicilian in me!).

Ciao! I’ve always had deep Italian roots and an even deeper love for everything Italy—especially when it comes to food, wine, and the joy of sharing them. At Frankie’s Pantry & Cellar, I get to combine all of that by helping people discover beautiful Italian wines and ingredients, whether it’s online or at one of our events.
In winter, you’ll usually find me with a glass of Musante Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and a big bowl of pappardelle al funghi porcini with truffle—the perfect cold-weather combo. In summer, I’m all about Villa Diana Pecorino with spaghettini alle vongole, and for the festive season, it’s Rebuli Rive Di San Pietro Di Barbozza Prosecco and a slice of panettone—simple, joyful pleasures.
I love nothing more than guiding people through a tasting and sharing a little piece of Italy—one delicious sip at a time.
