La Gallinara Pesto Genovese is prepared, starting from the traditional recipe, exclusively with DOP basil. The processing takes place within a few hours of harvesting to keep intact all the properties of the plant. Our Genoese pesto is not pasteurized.

To be used cold, adding a little cooking water and a drizzle of oil to the pasta; excellent also added to minestrone.

Pesto alla Genovese is used to season first courses such as potato gnocchi, Genoese minestrone and pasta.

It is also excellent for enhancing the flavor of tomato sauces or pasta salads, spread as a base for bruschetta, or to accompany raw vegetables, au gratin, grilled, boiled potatoes, or in combination with fresh cheeses, soft paste.
